Construction matches the surrounding masonry: the same stone, the same coping, the same joint work, so the feature belongs to the patio instead of sitting on top of it. Gas runs, ignition and safety shutoffs are installed to code.
Seat walls, curved benches, movable furniture zones and adjacent planting are laid out around the feature so the space feels finished on a night when only two people are using it.
