The Design Challenge
Cooking, dining and lounging were competing for the same footprint, leaving no clear circulation between the house and the yard.
The Design Solution
The deck was extended and stepped down to a masonry terrace, separating the cooking enclosure from the dining area and giving the fire feature its own seating zone off the main traffic path.
